Advanced level: Train to win!
The Squash Club Accelerator Program provides next-level training for advanced athletes.
Consisting of the Talent Squad and Performance Academy, the Squash Club at EA’s Accelerator Program inspires the next generation of EA squash athletes.
Perfect for students who have competition experience (recommended 2.0 – 3.5 US Squash rating) and are striving to take the next steps in their squash journey, the Talent Squad will assist with athletic transitions and develop individualized development plans. The program is offered 3 days per week or by select individual days and will be periodized toward improvement in each individual pillar of squash. Learning will evolve from fundamentals through the specific areas of the court and how it impacts shot variation. We will develop shot execution, on court awareness/anticipation and rally structure.
The Performance Academy strives to fast-track elite squash playing students (recommended 3.5+ US Squash rating) through the rankings through utilizing proven methodology which has produced the most successful junior squash players in modern US Squash history. Members will receive a customized training program and invitational clinic extensions on weekends. The Performance Academy offers individually tailored training programs to improve tactical, technical, psychological, and physical on-court skills. Each plan is tailored toward a strategic and holistic pathway, in order to accelerate improvement and grow confidence in ‘set up – initiate – follow up’ transitions, learning how to win on court battles (i.e length battle, serve vs. return battle, T battles) and learning how to combine and connect all the above.
Future Stars is perfect for 4th-8th grade Intermediate-level players (US Squash Rating of up to 2.5) who would like to prepare for Middle or Upper School squash.
All Squash Club events are held at EA’s state-of-the-art Madeira Squash Pavilion in the Dixon Athletic Center, featuring 10 glass-walled courts and a spectator pavilion.
Lower School Clinics and Future Stars are directed by Demer Holleran. Talent Squad and EA-cellence Academy are directed by Lyall Paterson.
