Make summer an opportunity to learn.
Earn academic credit over the summer months with Excel’s courses for credit.
Excel’s courses for credit span computer science, religion, math, and more. Courses are offered on-campus or virtually, and afford students the opportunity to earn academic credit in the summer and free up their schedule in the fall. Each course for credit is designed and led by one of The Episcopal Academy’s dedicated faculty members.

We understand that plans may change for the busy summer months. Excel’s course change fee is 5%, and cancellation fees are as follows:
- 90% refund through May 1
- 75% refund from May 2-31
- No refunds beginning June 1
Students are permitted to drop the course without it showing on their transcript up until the end of the first week of the course. No refunds are available for dropping a course.
Students are permitted 1 excused absence in semester courses and 2 excused absences in full year courses. Due to the condensed nature of summer for-credit courses, attendance is vital.
Synchronous learning refers to instructors and students gathering at the same time and (virtual or physical) place and interacting in “real-time”. Asynchronous learning refers to students accessing materials at their own pace and interacting with each other over longer periods.
